Pilgrims: Ha! Looks like England is having some trouble. We don’t have that in America. Know what we have? Buckles. All the buckles.

An article my girlfriend Katie and I wrote together long ago in a strange, chaotic era known as “2008” is now a small part of Susanna’s amazing, ongoing “Facebook history of the world” series.
Fun fact: The entire concept of interpreting history via Facebook newsfeed, which has spawned countless articles on CollegeHumor and elsewhere, all started with something Katie suggested as a joke.
